This spot was a must try while on vacay! We must have went at the perfect time because there was no line. We both ordered the Fairfax and added turkey sausage. The sandwich was perfection in every bite. The eggs were so fluffy and cheesy. The bread was so soft and buttered. The caramelized onions added the perfect touch to this sandwich. The hashbrowns are tossed in duck fat & sprayed with truffle oil. I enjoyed them as well and the truffle is very subtle I wish they had the gaucho because that's what I had intended to get but they only do it at the Vegas store. If your debating about whether your should visit or not it's an easy yes. *follow melrosemunchies for food adventures*
Visiting because of the hype and it was a pleasant experience. I love their slut dish. The egg salad burger was a bit too creamy and we couldn't finish it. Good location. You can bring the food to the outside tables and enjoy the sunny weather of LA. Fast service.
Egg Slut is a breakfast or lunch food banger. Can't go wrong with any of the items with a fresh orange juice. The food has a fresh and addicting taste to it. Add some avocado to your sandwhich. Customer service was great. They were quick duty order. Plenty of spaces to sit down and eat. Rush hour lunch 12-1pm busy.
Having lived in Las Vegas, I had always wanted to try Eggslut, as well as visit Grand Central Market. Let's get together with some girlfriends and do BOTH! We lucked out and found a spot right outside as someone was leaving; otherwise, you'd have to drive around to find street parking. It was mentioned to us by a friend that there was a paring structure nearby, but we didn't see it. Upon parking, we walked towards the entrance to the food market and I had never seen anything like it before. It was beautifully crafted on the outside and had a delicious food market inside. This inside restaurant market had such an incredible dining experience that I am still reeling from it. I was blown away by the sights, smells, and sounds of this culinary wonderland the moment I stepped inside. Beautifully designed, the market combines the intimacy of a restaurant with the excitement of a bustling marketplace. My friends and I went to EggSlut, which was the first place you saw when you walked up. It was centrally located between Donut Man and a Juice spot, so I tried the Donut Man while my friends tried the Juice spot. The Fairfax Sandwich is their classic and comes with cage-free soft scrambled eggs, chives, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and sriracha mayo on a warm brioche bun. Though slightly gressy, the bun was sweet, and buttery, and you could tell it had been freshly baked. A delicate yellow color and fluffy, curdled texture characterized the eggs' cooking. As the eggs were arranged neatly on the bun, the chives added color, while the caramelized onions balanced the saltiness of the eggs, and the slight crunch of the caramelized texture added a delightful textural element. My initial reaction to Sriracha may on an egg sandwich was a bit skeptical. As a breakfast staple, it isn't a traditional condiment, and I was worried that it would overwhelm the delicate flavors of the eggs and bread. Oh boy, was I wrong? As a result of the Sriracha spice kick, the sandwich had a depth of flavor that was completely unexpected. There's something surprisingly addictive about it, like a little wake-up call for your taste buds. I can not wait to go back!!
Mouth watering sandwiches full of flavor and not dry. Make sure to be there early due to selling out of the popular items like their specialty choices. The staff were very helpful and provided recommendations since everything looked yummy.
Eggslut in downtown LA at the Grand Central Market is a trendy spot that we were excited to try given all the buzz. We ordered the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich, which features honey mustard aioli on a warm brioche bun. While the sandwich was good, the chicken sausage left something to be desired. A house-made pork sausage option would have likely provided a more robust flavor. Overall, it was fun to experience Eggslut given its popularity, but the sandwich did not leave a lasting impression on me. That said, it's worth a try if you're curious about the hype or are trying new spots in Grand Central Market.
We enjoyed our breakfast so much we went back the next day to try more items!! The eggs were perfectly cooked. Bacon and sausage sandwiches were amazing.
The hashbrowns were my favorite thing here! You don't get many and they're pricey but oh they're worth it! My bf got the farmers something and that was delicious and cheesy. My egg salad was meh. It's more of a lunch sandwich than breakfast but I didn't care for the flavor it had. One thing I will say is that these are very filling. You do have to wait for your food a bit but in the mean time you can go get a coffee from elsewhere and or a donut, which I did. They do have a few seats at the counter and some tables but it stays busy.
This was my first time & all I could think about was how I always saw Eggslut on blogs & on social media. To FINALLY get to try them out, I'm glad I did. We caught them right after they opened & the line didn't start pickup up till after we ordered. I got the Sausage, Egg & Cheese sandwich. Medium egg, turkey sausage (website says chicken sausage compared to the menu at this location) & honey mustard aioli on a brioche bun. Super good, the egg was just right & the messiness from the egg was on the backend of the sandwich. I got the Truffle Hashbrowns as a side, which you can get vegan style as well. I loved the hashbrowns, the truffle was subtle. Came with ketchup & it tastes good with or without it. My partner got the Fairfax Sandwich (she's vegetarian) & it looked very filling. I don't even think she was able to finish it. To top it off, we also had coffee to complete the breakfast. Again, always seeing Eggslut on blogs & social media while being able to witness it for myself was a pleasure. I'd come back again.
Eggslut "Eggslut's name refers to the popular phrase which developed among foodies in the mid-2000s that describes people who serve every dish topped by an egg" Going to EggSlut is must do when visiting or living in LA. Is it worth the hype? I would say so for the most part. Don't forget to take pics for the gram! What We ordered: -Fairfax Sandwich ($12) cage-free soft scrambled eggs, chives, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun -Truffle Hashbrowns ($5.5) duck fat, truffle and rosemary salt -Fresh Orange Juice ($5.5) The Fairfax Sandwich is a legit breakfast sandwich. It slaps which I believe the young kids say to describe something good. The scrambled eggs inside the sandwich were delicious, but more importantly they were so fluffy. The Truffle Hash browns were not bad. They didn't wow me, but the wife enjoyed them. The Fresh Orange Juice was pretty good. I think must people order it so they can get a cup with the eggslut logo on it. I will definitely come back as I didn't get a slut (cage-free coddled egg on top of house-made potato purée, cooked in a glass jar topped with gray salt and chives, served with slices of baguette)
